In August, the Chair Development group hosted two orientation sessions via Zoom. The first session was for all chairs and focused on the topic of “Chairing in Crisis.” The second session was for new chairs and included an introduction to the chair handbook website and breakout groups focusing on three of the handbook topics (chair wellbeing, leading faculty meetings, and supporting faculty). The session also provided chairs with an opportunity to engage in discussions about their concerns as they prepare for the new school year.
