Resources for faculty before, during, and after retirement
Retirement is an important transition in life, and there are many things to consider as a faculty member approaching this transition. Academic identity can be deeply rooted in one’s discipline, classroom, or University, making decisions about retirement particularly fraught. We offer here resources to use when considering and planning for retirement. These resources explain the DU retirement process, as well as a list of phased action plans for the retirement process, including personal, academic, and financial considerations in each stage.
