Mentoring Website Release: The Teaching and Professional Faculty Lifecycle
The MOARS Teaching & Professional Faculty Symposium Team is excited to share The Teaching and Professional Faculty Lifecycle: An Aspirational Model for the Onboarding and Mentoring of Teaching and Professional Faculty. The interactive model envisions a lifecycle for Teaching and Professional Faculty, from onboarding as a new hire to early- and mid-career promotions to a stable retirement. The model also includes three levels of mentorship, providing guidance for principal mentors, structural mentors (chairs, deans, directors), and topical mentors beyond campus as they support Teaching and Professional Faculty throughout their careers. Final feedback is underway with Deans and Chairs to assure collaborative support.
