In this 90-minute, interactive course design workshop, on December 6th from 2:00pm-3:30pm, participating faculty you will be introduced to the concept of designing for significant learning – that is, learning that has the potential to change students’ lives in lasting and important ways. Participants will also become familiar with two tools/frameworks – the Taxonomy of Significant Learning and the Three-Column Alignment Table – that can support faculty in this design work. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to practice applying these tools/frameworks in thinking about participants’ own courses’ designs.
