The Cruelty of Faculty Churn

The University of Denver was recently featured in an article discussing the faculty churn that is taking place in many universities across the country. The article discusses the limited time that many non-tenure track faculty are allowed at universities before they are removed and the reasons that these universities give for phasing out their faculty. The University of Denver is acknowledged as one of the universities working toward trying to get non-tenure and adjunct professors to become permanent fixtures at the university.
