Sign-Up For the NCFDD Online 14-Day Writing Challenge! Starts October 17th!

Oct 1, 2022

Join us for the National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity (NCFDD) 14-Day Writing Challenge! This online challenge is an opportunity to experiment with daily writing, online community, and supportive accountability. It’s very simple:

  1. You commit to write every day for at least 30 minutes.
  2. At the beginning of your writing time, you login to our online community, start the timer, complete your writing, and post your progress at the end.
  3. You take five minutes to support other writers in your group by commenting on their progress.

If you’re up for the challenge, you can sign up at the NCFDD website. Those who complete the challenge are eligible for a chance to win a $20 Tattered Cover gift card! Email a screenshot of completion to Alison Staudinger at Alison.Staudinger@du.edu to be entered in the drawing.

P.S. A colleague from the Writing Program challenged whether “30 minutes a day” is a good way to think about the embodied work of writing. So, you can set yourself whatever goal you wish and use this accountability mechanism to track it!
