Faculty Voices in Space Initiative

In October, about twenty faculty attended a design session to create a prototype of a faculty lounge for the new DU Community Commons and walk the site to see where the lounge will be located. Additionally, 130 faculty completed a survey communicating their desires for the new lounge. This feedback was incorporated into the room design and furniture selection specs for the new space.

In November, about 20 faculty attended the design session to reimagine Nagel 102 in order to serve faculty in smaller classes who use collaborative pedagogies. Faculty also expressed a desire for larger classrooms that could flex to support collaborative pedagogies. The goal is to renovate the furniture and the AV for this classroom in AY 2020-21 and work with the registrar so that faculty using collaborative pedagogies can request this classroom.
