By: Laura Perille, Executive Director, 4D Experience

This year’s 4D Symposium, Journeys in Character, features dozens of informative sessions, engaging panels, and interactive workshops that bring the 4D Experience to life for students, faculty, and staff on May 8-9 in Community Commons. Come learn, be in community, and engage in dialogue around models and practices that advance intellectual growth, well-being, purpose, and character, both in and out of the classroom as well as through research and scholarship. Highlights include:

  • Empowering Learners Through Grading for Equity (Susan Hojnacki and Kate Rice)
  • Building a Culture of Care Between Students and Professors (Ileya Grosman, Libbie Mitchell, and Alison Tweedie)
  • Work Better Not Harder: The Benefits of Comprehensive Well-being (Briony Catlow, Eric Chess, and Scott McLagan)
  • Debate Across the Curriculum: How Non-Competitive Debating Can Transform Classroom Engagement (Darrin Hicks and Steve Johnson)

And much, much more! Check out the full program: 4D Symposium 2025 Schedule
