By: Terese Rainwater, R1 Our Way Project Manger

The Adjunct Teaching Excellence Program is a R1 Our Way initiatives co-sponsored by the Office of the Provost, Faculty Affairs, and the Office of Teaching and Learning. This program emerged from our commitment to investing in the professional development of our adjunct series faculty. To receive their completion certificate, participants engage in a blended synchronous/asynchronous experience with a curated set of continuing education opportunities spanning six competencies: UDL and accessibility, teaching with technology, inclusive teaching, facilitation, and designing for learning.

On May 30th, adjuncts who had completed the program were honored with a reception. The origin of this program was shared, along with data from our developing adjunct dashboard, and certificates were awarded. We look forward to continuing this successful program beyond the sunset of R1 funds. Look for more information about ATEP in the coming academic year.
