Is your department or unit welcoming new full-time faculty in any series this fall? Please encourage them to attend the New Faculty Orientation and Provost’s Luncheon on Friday, September 8th from 8:30am–4:00pm.
The full-day orientation provides the opportunity for faculty to meet one another and learn more about DU. At the celebratory luncheon, new faculty are officially introduced to the Provost and DU community by their deans. Chairs and directors are invited to accompany new faculty members to the breakfast at 8:30.
Newly appointed faculty are also invited to join a year-long New Faculty Academy, which includes cohorted peer-to-peer conversations, structured workshops, social opportunities, and introduction to key DU resources like the division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Office of Research and Sponsored Projects (ORSP), Center for Community Engagement to Advance Scholarship and Learning (CCESL), and the Office of Teaching and Learning (OTL). Faculty who complete the stipended program receive a certificate of completion.
