As part of the R1 Our Way suite of initiatives, the Adjunct Teaching Excellence Certificate Program (ATEP) launched in September. Virtual and in-person instruction is offered both synchronously and asynchronously. To meet the requirements of the certificate, adjunct faculty complete coursework offered in six competencies, including:
- Teaching with Technology
- Inclusive Teaching
- Facilitation
- Designing for Learning
- Universal Design for Learning and Accessibility
- Professional Identity
Since the launch,
- 129 faculty received invitations to participate in the program
- 100 faculty have accessed the program
- 68 faculty have spent measurable time in some part of the course
- 8 faculty have completed 1 or more of the 6 modules
Adjunct faculty may enroll anytime during the academic year. Faculty who complete the certificate will be honored in spring 2023 and receive $250. We’re so glad you want to complete this teaching excellence program for part-time faculty! Please follow this link to complete a qualtrics survey and a code you can use to enroll in the canvas course.
