New Faculty Onboarding Series: Focus on Teaching
In partnership with the Office of Teaching and Learning (OTL), we’ll host a session on September 28th, from 11:30am-12:30pm. By this time, you’ll have had a few weeks of teaching DU students, and probably some questions. The OTL team will share highlights from the OTL Faculty Showcase last year, including some of the wonderful work DU faculty do in pursuit of student learning, and we’ll have a guided discussion about teaching at DU. It’s a great opportunity to connect with other new faculty, especially if you weren’t able to attend orientation. The event is scheduled to be in-person, but stay tuned! Register here.
Teacher Scholar” Faculty Learning Community
Last chance for first- and second-year faculty to join the “Teacher Scholar” Faculty Learning Community. This is the best way to connect to other faculty and to learn how to navigate your first years at DU. We meet the third Thursday of every month in the fall quarter (Dates: 9/23, 10/21, 11/18) from 3:30-5:00pm. To join us, please email Alison Staudinger to see if there is still space.
