About twenty faculty attended a design session to create a prototype of a faculty lounge for the new DU Community Commons and walk the site to see where the lounge will be located. Additionally, 130 faculty completed a survey communicating their desires for the new lounge. This feedback was incorporated into the room design and furniture selection specs for the new space.
About 20 faculty attended the design session to reimagine Nagel 102 in order to serve faculty in smaller classes who use collaborative pedagogies. Provost conference on Shared Governance featuring national expert on change, governance and leadership in higher education Adrianna Kezar, co-director of the Pullias Center for Higher Education and a professor of higher education at the University of Southern California Rossier School of Education, and Matthew Hartley, professor of education at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education whose research and writing focus on how colleges and universities are governed.
