New Chairs Orienatation

On Monday, September 14th from 3-4:30 pm, Chairs Advisory Board (CAB) members and VPFA staff will offer a welcome and training for new chairs and directors at DU. The conversation included resources for new chairs, like the Chair Handbook and the CAB, which provides support including chair and director huddles, solution-seeking clinics, and quarterly meetings with the Provost.
New chairs will be encouraged to share their hopes and fears for their new role, and to explore ways of structuring meetings and workload to equitably support faculty members. The group will also discussed ways to maintain wellbeing as chair, while still completing the most essential and meaningful work.
