The inaugural cohort of DATS (University Writing Program, led by Sheila Carter-Tod;
First Year Language Program, Center for World Languages and Cultures, led by Emily Sospeto;
Teaching and Learning Sciences, Morgridge College of Education, led by Norma Hafenstein) will be heading off campus to spend two days deeply engaging with frameworks for evaluating and celebrating teaching excellence that include the voices of self, peers, and students. Combining intensive working sessions with restorative time, the two-day DAT retreat allows these faculty leaders to connect personally and professionally, as well as focus on teaching in their particular department contexts.
