In conjunction with EAB, we will have a webinar where we will:
- Discuss how pressure from students and shifting demographics are driving a new urgency among academic leaders to prioritize both greater numerical representation of underrepresented groups among faculty and a more inclusive environment for faculty, students, and staff.
- Determine how decisions, processes, and preferences that impact diversity and inclusion occur at the departmental level—chairs, program heads, and faculty leaders identify and remedy sources of bias within traditional recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and promotion practices.
- Assist academic leaders in approaching diversity and inclusion as the result of more equitable and intentional practices under their direct control and present concrete tactics on recruitment, hiring, and retention.
