Facilitating Welcoming and Transparent Assignments

Drawing on the “Transparency in Learning and Teaching” https://tilthighered.com/ framework, this workshop walks participants through a concrete approach to designing assignments that are transparent and welcoming to all students. This is a simple, but research-based practice for closing equity gaps. Along with assignment design, this session will offer suggestions for in-class activities to do with students to help them succeed on your assignments.
