New Faculty Orientation & Teaching@DU

Welcome to all new faculty who are joining DU in Fall 2022. Please join us for a day of connecting with each other and campus resources. The morning will inform you about the people and offices you need to know to thrive at DU, and in the afternoon we’ll focus on teaching to prepare for those first days of the term in a discussion and small groups.
This will be an in-person session, with the AM portion recorded and shared afterwards for people who can’t make it.
Schedule:
9:30-10:00am— Breakfast
10am-12pm– Welcome to DU! (Presenters include Provost Mary Clark, Senior Vice Provost Jennifer Karas, Senior Vice Provost Corrine Lengsfeld, Senior Vice Provost Kate Willink, Director of Faculty Development & Career Advancement Alison Staudinger)
12:30-1:30pm Lunch Discussion at your table with early career DU faculty.
1:30-3:30pm — Teaching at DU (co-hosted by VPFA & OTL)– This conversation focused afternoon will give you a chance to connect with other new faculty!
