Equity Workshop #5: Taking the time to evaluate classroom climate

The learning environment in a class affects student engagement and performance. Since a negative environment can be an obstacle to learning, it is critical to understand how to create and sustain a positive climate for all students. In this fifth Equity Workshop, we will discuss activities that allow you to take the temperature of your classroom climate at any point in the term.

All Equity Workshops can be applied to the Adjunct Teaching Excellence Program for the Inclusive Teaching Practices competency synchronous component (Adjunct Faculty participating only need to attend one of the Equity Workshops) and the Teaching for Inclusion and Equity Foundational Badge
