The Lamont School of Music has been working with students to ensure that music majors are able to continue with their studies even as the closure of campus has meant that students have left the area and practice rooms in the Newman Center are closed. For students who do not have instruments of their own at home or easy access to large instruments, Lamont has had to work creatively. They have loaned out instruments to students, including percussion sets and five pianos, which were packed up and shipped by moving companies to students who needed them.
