Appointed faculty from any series are invited to apply for the role of Faculty Director of General Education. For faculty interested in the common curriculum, this is a chance to lead the university forward through changes approved by the Faculty Senate and beyond.
The Faculty Director of General Education is a three-year appointment reporting to the Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs (SVPAA). The Faculty Director works in close partnership with administration, Faculty Senate’s Academic Planning Committee (APC) and Faculty Senate President, and the Central Committee (CC) of faculty and administrators to oversee, manage, and recommend* improvements to DU’s general education program.
